Most recently, Mr. Campbell served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Xpedior (XPDR - NASDAQ) from September 1999, prior to its $190M public offering in December of that year, through November 2000, achieving annualized revenue of $250M. From January 1999 to September 1999, Mr. Campbell was President of GTE Technology Organization, the centralized technology unit of GTE Incorporated, including service as President of GTE Labs and the GTE lead on Technology Integration for the GTE/Bell Atlantic merger to form Verizon. From 1995 to January 1999, Mr. Campbell served as President of BBN Technologies, the Internet technology development and services organization of BBN Corporation, which was acquired by GTE in 1997. Prior to that time, Mr. Campbell was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Computer Task Group, Inc., an international integrated information technology services company, where his 25 year career contributed to growth to over $300M in revenue and listing on the NYSE. Mr. Campbell is also a director of Tektronix, Inc. and Gibraltar Steel, Inc., and was appointed by President Clinton to the Advisory Board of the President's Commission on Critical Infrastructure Protection. Prior Board activities have included M&T Bank, Image Business Systems, Dunlop Tire Corp (including service as Chairman while a subsidiary of Sumitomo Corp), and National Fuel Gas.
Mr. Campbell also help found and serves as Executive Director of Hands On Disaster Response (HODR), a non-profit organization dedicated to providing hands-on assistance to survivors of natural disasters around the world. By supporting volunteers with housing, meals, tools, and organized work at no charge HODR is able to provide free and effective response services to communities in need.
Mr. Campbell holds a Bachelor of Science (Mathematics) degree from Niagara University and a Master of Science (Operations Research) degree from SUNY Buffalo. He also was Executive-in-Residence at IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland, for six months during 1992-1993.
